I stumbled upon this open drawing tool called Alchemy. It uses computational methods of drawing, alongside traditional ones, to create endless forms and shapes. Of course this isn't entirely useful for creating finished products, but this tool offers a quick and easy way to establish a starting point for digital painting, whether it be characters, creatures, environments, or just abstract.
The above picture is a combination of the 'speed shapes' and pressure shapes tool, and it produced a collage of shapes with an interesting aesthetic. I'd suggest you check it out if you have trouble gathering inspiration from a blank canvas, like I do.
